Description:
Epic Western-genre theatrical film written by and starring the people of Chadron, Nebraska, who incorporated the Black Hills Feature Film Company in 1915. The film tells the story of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane, their lives as government scouts and miners, and their romance, cut short by the villainy of Jack McCall. The film made use of soldiers from Fort Robinson and Native Americans from the Pine Ridge Reservation. Silent, with title cards.
