Minutes of meetings of the Philomathian Literary Society of Seward, Nebraska, 1898. The Philomathian Literary Society of Seward, Nebraska met on January 18, 1898 to organize as a permanent society. Officers were elected at this meeting to serve a six-week term. During its weekly meetings, members of the Philomathian Literary Society performed recitations and debated questions relating to the arts, education, and the social and political scene. The Society adjourned indefinitely on April 4, 1898.
