Welcome to the new online home for History Nebraska’s digital collections. Available collections are being added weekly to this new portal. Be sure to check back regularly to see new historic content from our collections!

History Nebraska collections contain some materials that are harmful or difficult to view. Our collection spans pre-statehood to modern times, and as a result some of the materials presented online may reflect outdated, biased, offensive, and possibly violent views. These materials are presented as part of the historical record, and do not reflect the official position of History Nebraska or the State of Nebraska.

In partnership with Newspapers.com, History Nebraska is in the process of digitizing historical newspapers prior to 1963. Newspapers slated for digitization will soon be accessible via Newspapers.com, then, after a brief embargo period, they will be made available on History Nebraska’s website free of charge. Microfilmed newspaper reels are still available for Interlibrary Loan and can be viewed in our reference room.
