Black and white photograph of an Indian man (possibly Red Cloud) and a child sit on a bench on the porch of a wooden-framed building. The pair wear white man's clothing--suits--except for the man's beaded moccasins. The man also wears glasses and holds a cane. Red Cloud, a principal chief of the Oglala Teton Sioux, was born along the Platte River in what would become Nebraska and died at Pine Ridge, South Dakota.
