Description:
This history tells of how the three Steinauer Brothers and other settlers came to homestead the area. Topics include frontier hardships, distances to markets and Indian depredations. Lists of past School board members, teachers and settlers of the district are given. Also included are two photographs, one of the schoolhouse circa 1917 and one of J.W. Allen, who came to the area in 1865.
