Map entitled, “Die Abwehrschlacht zwischen Soissons und Reims. Karte 2” (The defensive battle between Soissons and Reims. Card 2). Notation on map by Richard T. Guthrie states, “This is a 1917 German map I found in Germany in 1945. A situation map of the Soisson sector before the 18 July attack on the (Rheims) Chateau Thierry Salient. The reverse side of the map shows “Übersichtskarte karte 1 Heeresgruppe Deutscher Kronprinz” (Overview map map 1 Army Group German Crown Prince) and “Die stellungen zwischen Aisne und Marne am morgen des 18 Juli 1918” (The positions between Aisne and Marne on the morning of 18 July 1918).
